Workshops and events:

  • The Drawing Room: Life Drawing at Tyger

    Sundays 12 July, 2 August and 6 September, 2–4pm
$65 per session or $150 for all three, plus booking fee

Join us at Tyger for The Drawing Room, a relaxed life drawing series led by artist Sara Phemister and featuring experienced life model Tori Addams.

These are gently guided creative sessions rather than formal classes. Sara will keep the rhythm flowing with a range of poses and offer friendly support along the way, but there’s no pressure and no experience needed.

We’ll provide paper, pencils and clipboards, with a refreshment break midway. You’re also welcome to bring your own favourite drawing materials.

Whether you’re a seasoned sketcher or just curious to give life drawing a go, you’re warmly welcome.

  • Pulse – Mia Lazarus – Meet the Artist

    Saturday 21 February, 11am–2pm
    FREE to attend

Join us at Tyger for a relaxed Meet the Artist session with Mia Lazarus, held as part of her Tyger Project Pulse.

This is a casual, drop-in chance to spend time with the work while it’s on the walls, hear Mia talk about how the paintings came together, and chat with her about process, materials and ideas.

You’re welcome to pop in for five minutes or stay for a while. It’s a friendly, low-pressure way to engage with the work and the artist behind it.

  • An afternoon of seascape painting with Jenny Blake

    Sunday 22 February, 2026
    $80 – bookings essential

Edge of the Water is a relaxed, hands-on seascape painting workshop led by Jenny Blake, one of the region’s much-loved landscape painters.

In this small-group session, Jenny will guide participants through her approach to painting the meeting point of land and sea, exploring light, movement, atmosphere and colour in a calm, supportive setting.

Suitable for all experience levels, the workshop offers a chance to slow down, experiment with materials, and spend an afternoon painting at Tyger. All materials are provided.
