CHRIS SUTTON
ALAN HARDING
Two outstanding shows
OPENING EVENT - SATURDAY 21 JUNE 1-3PM
We’re thrilled to welcome two stunning new shows to Tyger.
The opening celebration for both shows takes place on Saturday 21 June, 1–3pm - please register to let us know you'll be joining us.
Coastal Impressions is the debut solo show at Tyger by the incredibly talented Chris Sutton — whose evocative coastal works have stopped visitors in their tracks ever since he joined the gallery.
In this new series, Chris uses intentional camera movement and selective detail to create dreamlike, semi-abstract images that shimmer with memory and mood. These are works that feel like the sea: alive, expansive, and just a little bit wild.
We’re also proud to present the return of much-loved local artist Alan Harding with his new show, The Passing View.
But this isn’t just an art show. It’s a chance to do something good.
25% of all proceeds from The Passing View will be donated to Can Assist — a remarkable charity providing direct support to people in our communities affected by cancer. This donation is a joint gift from Alan and Tyger, and every purchase you make from this show helps someone who needs it.
As for the work? It’s Alan doing what he does best — finding poetry in the everyday. These new paintings capture fleeting glimpses of the world with colour, light, and quiet emotional depth. They’re thoughtful, striking, and unmistakably his.
Tyger: the region’s most beautiful art gallery
To create Tyger, we’ve taken a derelict and unloved space in the heart of this historic town and turned it into the region’s most beautiful art gallery. It’s a must-see in Yass.
We have an incredible line up of shows for 2024. Check our our upcoming exhibitions here.
Tyger Gallery is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-3, and Sunday 11-3pm. Other times are available by appointment.
Don’t forget to add yourself to our mailing list to make sure you don’t miss out on all the great events and shows coming up.
