presence
5 DEC - 3 JAN 2026
Presence brings together 30 artists from across Australia in Tyger Gallery’s final show of the year. Spanning still life, figurative work, ceramics, textiles, printmaking and painting, the show reflects the strength and richness of contemporary practice happening right now — across regions, generations and approaches.
Installed across the gallery, the works sit in conversation with one another, moving between the quiet and contemplative to the bold and materially expressive. Presence is a show about attention, connection and being with works fully — whether you’re encountering an artist for the first time or deepening a relationship with one you already know.
From the Head Tyger
When we began planning Presence we imagined a show that would gather voices from all corners of Australia — a constellation of practices, mediums and perspectives.
Now, as you scroll through the works, I hope you feel the breadth and depth of that ambition. This isn’t just a group show — it’s a celebration of creative energy, quiet intensity, colour, form and imagination.
With works in painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, drawing and mixed media, Presence reflects how many incredible things happen when artists bring their unique vision to a shared space. We’ve pulled back the walls, opened up the rooms and rearranged the gallery so each work can breathe — but together they speak to connection, individuality and collective strength.
I’m enormously proud of this show, and deeply grateful to every artist who trusted Tyger with their work. I’m also grateful to you — whether this is your first visit or your fiftieth — for supporting independent art in the regions. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
