Introducing Nicole Sacks: Where realism meets the mysterious

Sydney artist Nicole Sacks.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sydney-based artist Nicole Sacks to Tyger Gallery with five extraordinary new works now available to view and purchase online and in the gallery.

Nicole is a figurative artist whose practice pushes at the boundaries of traditional realism, creating pieces that sit at the intersection of the familiar and the unexpected.

With a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from the National Art School, her work has gained significant recognition – including a feature in the international book Disrupted Realism by renowned author John Seed, multiple exhibition appearances, and finalist spots in Australian art competitions. Her paintings are now held in collections both here and internationally.

“My work almost always starts out as playing with different images in unexpected ways via collage,” Nicole says.

This playful, experimental beginning often leads to works that blend the real and the abstract in subtle, intriguing ways.

“My work is a combination of abstraction and realism that hopefully incorporates a bit of the mysterious,” she says.

The five new pieces at Tyger explore this tension beautifully. They are deeply atmospheric works that invite viewers to linger, to find themselves caught between the recognisable and the otherworldly.

“The work at Tyger is about escaping this complex world we live in to access more timeless and nostalgic concepts,” Nicole explains.

We can’t wait for you to experience Nicole’s art for yourself - works that feel both intimate and expansive, personal yet universal, rooted in reality yet touched by the unknown.

Explore all five pieces online now, or better yet, visit us in Yass to see them in person.
