Sarah Robinson is a Canberra-based painter whose atmospheric landscapes sit between memory, observation and feeling. Working with thin, fluid paint, she creates layered works where forms emerge, dissolve and seem to hold only part of the story. A recipient of the 2025 Tyger New Ground Award, Sarah has shown with Tyger at Affordable Art Fair Brisbane and Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, and presents her solo show Fragments at Tyger Gallery in September 2026.

Sarah Robinson is a Canberra-based artist whose work explores what lies unseen within the landscape – the traces, memories and sensations that sit beneath what is directly observed.
Working with thin, watery layers of paint, Sarah builds images that seem to emerge and dissolve at the same time. Forms appear gradually, while drips, pools and transparent passages create a sense of movement, uncertainty and atmosphere.
Her paintings sit somewhere between landscape, memory and abstraction, offering fragments of a story rather than the whole thing. In 2025, Sarah received the Tyger New Ground Award, selected from the ANU School of Art & Design graduate exhibition.
