  • Ann loves colour and texture and the challenge to find new ways to include this in my work. Growing up in a country town surrounded by farmland and bush has had a huge influence on Ann’s work.

Ann now lives in Dolphin Point on the South Coast of NSW and is loving the change in landscape and palette.

Driven by a love for the looseness and unpredictability of marks, She creates dynamic and layered compositions that are a direct response to the environments she encounters.

Ann will often paint ‘en plein air’, capturing the essence of the landscape and allowing the spontaneous energy to influence her brushstrokes. She will then return to the studio in my home where she will deconstruct the painted memories, and apply them to canvas as collage and build the artwork.

Ann spends many hours walking the many trails around the area, but can’t wait to get back and take my inspiration and often plein air sketches, back to the studio.

It is here Ann feels so lucky to be able to spend time doing what she loves.
