Sarah says: ““On return from what was a pivotal painting trip to The East MacDonnell Ranges last year, I couldn’t wait to get back to my studio to create works fresh from my memory of this incredible experience. With a mind full of ideas and a heart full of emotion I needed to respond as immediately and freely as I could to get the ideas out of my head and onto the canvas.”

“The Monotype Print is my favourite form of printmaking because it is so painterly, spontaneous and involves direct mark making, which is how I like to paint. Fast and free and “one of kind”. These 4 Monotypes are inspired by my time camping in “Ruby Gap”. A deep sandy creek bed scattered with majestic white ghost gums that contrast against the rich red and pink rock faces is the focus of what I aimed to capture in these Prints.”
