Roadside Wild | Kate Conrick

A$1,080.00

122 x 91cm | Acrylic and ink | Unframed.

Kate says, “The last of the afternoon sun catching those clusters of flower heads that are everywhere on the side of the road right now. The dark red and brown ones that stand out stark from the bleached, dried grasses. I see things like that and my eyes cannot get enough of those muted colours. But then I come and paint this. I don’t know why. There is a tiny bit of beautiful, syrupy burnt umber hiding in there, giving it just a hint of seriousness. The only right colour in this piece. Apart from that, it’s just glorious glorious sunshine.”

This lovely piece is part of the Tyger Gallery stockroom.
