Lucy Car is an artist based in the Northern Rivers, working with acrylic paint to create bold, joyful depictions of Australian native flowers.
Her work has been exhibited widely across regional New South Wales and Queensland. She currently has work showing at Valley of Craftsmen in Lismore and online, and has previously exhibited with Lennox Head Arts Collective, Red Hill Gallery, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Pepperbox Gallery, Goondiwindi Gallery and Iluka Emporium.
Car has also hosted two charity Open Garden Studio days at her property and has presented a show at Sprout Café in Lismore in partnership with Multitask Disability Services, reflecting her strong interest in community engagement and charitable work.
Painting big, bright and with unmistakable personality, Car’s work is driven by a genuine joy in making, with the aim of bringing that same sense of delight to viewers.
