  • Emily Eldridge is an emerging landscape artist from Margaret River, Western Australia.

Emily sells her work locally and nationally, and has been showcased in Western Australian Galleries in the past few years.

Emily is inspired by the hectare of gorgeous trees on her property on Illawarra Avenue, the magnificent trees of Boranup Forest and the coastline of the southwest. She experiments with make marking, texture, shape and colour inspired by the region’s natural palette of umber, golds, rich greens and southern ocean blues.

The marked golden orbs in Emily’s work are a consistent theme. This universal symbol for energy offsets the linear shape of the trees but is also an energetic representation of the life force these forests hold. It is Emily’s ode to trees and the environment; a thank you to their integral part of her healing and her immense respect for the land.

  • “This painting captures the magical marri trees that sit alongside the Wooditch of Wadandi Boodja (the rivermouth of Margaret River, WA). Wooditch was a medicine man who used his magic to put a body of water between his daughter and her lover. Today, the large marri trees line the river and catch the evening light with an energy that is tranquil and healing.”
