This delightful piece is part of the latest group show at Tyger,  ‘I am trying to break your heart’.

Sophie says: “On a cool Autumn evening as the sun begins to set and an orange light glows over the farm. Something in the Orange captures the beautiful view over the artist's childhood home outside of Bathurst, New South Wales. In the composition there are numerous sheds, cows, trees on the river line, and the homestead hidden behind the trees to the left. The sun-kissed warm tones flecked through out the composition and the vibrant sky contrasts the purple shadows creating the impact of the light at sunset. Being up on the hill creates an all seeing perspective, something that seems so immense and holds such an importance becomes so small from this viewpoint. This separates the viewer from the space, which is reflective of the artist moving through growing pains and becoming removed from this feeling of home and sense of space.”
