Alan lives in Yass. Visual art has always been a passion and occupation in one form or another: he trained as a Secondary School Art teacher, studied art history and curatorship, and later graphic design. As well as teaching, he has run a retail business for over 20 years specialising in Australian craftwork.
Although he has always drawn and painted, recently he has been able to devote an increasing amount of time to his own art practice.
Alan paints with oils - still lifes, landscapes, streetscapes and abstracts.
