  • “Ordinary Devotions reflects on presence — the quiet awareness that arises when we observe the familiar. Everyday objects become symbols of stillness and connection.

“Why are we drawn to and desire certain things? Our responses may be shaped by cultural values, design trends, art movements, rituals, or shared nostalgia. Yet the attraction remains nonverbal, intuitive — almost addictive.

“This work traces that encounter: when seeing turns into feeling, and the ordinary becomes alive with presence.

“Curiosity, arrangement, interaction, interpretation, embodiment — each plays a part. The Art Deco treasures, now aged ten decades, live in my home. Through arrangement and display, they form new relationships.

“The act of capturing interpreting and composing their forms becomes an intuitive process. These objects are in conversation — connecting through a sense of movement, emotive colour, and textured form.”

    Dotti le Sage, 2025.
