Anna Davi is a contemporary mixed-media artist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Creating layered, abstract artworks that blend realism with imagination, her work captures the fleeting presence of our feathered friends, and the personality of still life scenes, in intimate, often unexpected ways.
Working in acrylics, watercolour, and charcoal, Anna’s process is joyful and exploratory. She is drawn to bold mark-making, expressive colour, and the delicate balance between abstraction and fine detail. Each piece invites viewers into a richly textured world where close-up encounters with birds and objects become poetic, personal, and alive with energy.
Born in the South West Slopes of New South Wales, Anna now paints from her home studio in Sydney. She has studied with Art2Life in 2023 and 2024 and continues to develop her practice through self-directed learning and experimentation.
Anna’s work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions and art prizes across Australia, including The Ewart Art Prize, The Burwood Art Prize, Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award Salon des Refuse, Inside This Box Art Prize, The Palette Project, Birdlife Bird Week Art Prize and Sydney Road Gallery Emerging Artists Exhibition.

“So many “ordinary” things that truly touch our hearts sadly go largely unnoticed. It’s understandable, as we go about keeping up with the pace of busy life. But joyful awareness is possible anytime, anywhere, and it’s easy to be had – all it takes is a look! I have a sense of curiosity and gratitude as I paint fauna and flora that I am fortunate enough to have right on my doorstep. I enjoy taking birds and everyday objects to a place where we can experience intimate and unique encounters with them. My three paintings celebrate everyday things that I see and appreciate because they are quite marvellous and should not be overlooked. And the reward of this self-expression is sharing it with you.”
