  • “My work is an ongoing process of exploration - a continual cycle of creation, reflection, and re-evaluation. Working with acrylic and oil paint, I create abstract landscapes and figurative pieces that balance intuition with intention.

“I’m drawn to the emotive qualities of line, colour, and texture — often layering contrasting colours, messy brush strokes and scratched in marks to build depth and energy. I tend to work instinctively, letting the painting evolve as I go rather than planning the outcome. This organic process allows me to respond to the work as it unfolds, often leading to unexpected forms and subtle narratives that emerge through the layers.

“My palette often tells its own story — muted tones paired with moments of vibrancy, suggesting both calm and tension. I see my work as a reflection of what it means to be human: imperfect, feeling, connected, and in constant transformation.

“I hope viewers feel a sense of both surprise and contemplation when engaging with my work, inspired to reflect on their own emotional landscape and experiences.

“While my practice continues to evolve, I am currently exploring how abstract form and colour can express emotion and memory, allowing each painting to become a quiet conversation between energy, place, and feeling.

“My painting, The Swimmer, is about contemplating the point when ideological ideas become unreasonable. When it all seemed like a good idea, until it wasn’t.”
